TSS around the web

TSS held a media and friends open house on April 30th to celebrate the coming of spring and the opening of Calixica Spa @ TSS. Our wine sponsor Barefoot Wine & Bubbly helped make the event a raging success. Check out these media posts that have come from the event:

Hotel Happenings: February 2013

It's been an exciting few months here at TSS. We've been hard at work on our new website, taking updated pictures and uploading content to make it super easy to navigate and helpful! We'd appreciate any comments, questions or concerns you have. Just let us know!

Cherry Blossoms

Spring has sprung in Vancouver!
Cherry blossoms are appearing all around Vancouver. Check the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival webpage for a map of local Cherry Blossom viewing!

Fall has fallen upon us

Slowly but surely, autumn has crept into Vancouver. It started gradually: a nip in the air after dusk, the sun setting earlier with each passing night, and the sprinkle of leaves falling to the ground. Although we haven’t had our usual fall showers (knowing Vancouver, they aren’t long off), but it’s definitely happened – fall is here.

At Times Square Suites this marks the beginning of our winter season. After a booming September, things are starting to quite down a little bit. Our winter season rates are in effect, and with them our seasonal specials. Subscribe to our newsletter, or view it here, to get access to these fabulous fall offers!

Wondering what to do in Vancouver once the colder days hit? Take advantage of the nice weather we’ve had to check out Capilano Suspension Bridge (now that the tourist season is over, you can relish in the almost nonexistent lines), or take a bike ride through Stanley Park.

Tis’ the season to be spooky, so pick up a pumpkin from the local grocery store and get into the Halloween spirit. Stop by the Stanley Park Ghost Train any time this month, check out Fright Nights at Playland (October 17 -31), or head over to Dunbar Street and get spooked by the Dunbar Haunted House (October 14 – 31).

If Halloween isn’t your thing, try the Parade of Lost Souls Festival from October 17 – 27. Check out one of their workshops (choose from learning Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” creating massive creatures for the parade or learning festive songs for the occasion). Don’t miss the two main events of the festival (both held October 27): The Secret Souls Walk and The Parade of Lost Souls Dance – both events promise to be fun filled and exciting. Stay tuned to their website for more details on the events.

Gone are the days of lounging in the sun, and picnics in the park but the fun doesn’t have to stop just because fall is here. Any other the events above are sure to keep you entertained – and if not, snuggle up inside your suite in one of our comfy Times Square Suites bathrobes, and watch your favorite movie.

For Rita, from your TSS Family

On September 18, 2012 we lost our beautiful Rita. She was the victim in a tragic road accident. We are all truly saddened. She brought joy and laughter with her everywhere and reminded us to live each day in a humble and pure way. We extend our sincere condolences to her family and friends, both here and in Indonesia.

If We Could Bring You Back Again
If we could bring you back again,
For one more hour or day,
We’d express all our unspoken love;
We’d have countless things to say.
If we could bring you back again,
We’d say we treasured you,
And that your presence in our lives
Meant more than we ever knew.
If we could bring you back again,
To tell you what we should,
You’d know how much we miss you now,
And if we could, we would.
